What we do

Organisations have different needs at different times, but they all lead to one necessity – presence.

Your audience needs to know who you are, what you stand for and what you offer.

We use our extensive range of skills and tools to make sure that happens.

FAQ

Not at all. We firmly believe that in PR if a relationship is not working for either side, being tied-in for 12 months is bad news for everyone.

We ask only for a three-month commitment, because of the set-up time and costs and because PR needs a bit of time to really start bearing fruit. After that, we can part on a calendar month’s notice.

Nope. We already work with businesses which operate nationally (which for us is the UK) and internationally. We don’t mind travelling and modern communications mean we can meet virtually far more often than might otherwise have been the case with large distances involved.

The beauty of our team is that there are lots of former journalists in it, meaning people who are really good at assimilating information, understanding tone and nuance and turning out content and strategies that clients can just sign-off on.

We’ve all heard about PR and marketing firms that expect the client to do most of the legwork in producing content. We get to know you, your products and your market and get to work.

Absolutely we can and we do for many clients, across many platforms, including LinkedIn. You’d be surprised how many CEOs and experts are not writing their own posts…

We can produce content, carry out engagement (an often overlooked tactic) and monitor your channels for interaction that you might not have time to keep tabs on but which you can’t afford to miss.

It’s quite the buzzword now, but algorithms have been working in many parts of our lives for many years already.

So the answer is yes, we use AI, and increasingly we tap into the Large Language Models like ChatGPT, Claude, Bard and so on to help us be efficient.

What we don’t do is rely on it to be creative. It’s still a very long way from having the human touch. Even the best ones are just suggestion engines based on the knowledge they have or can find. They don’t do accurate tone, nuance or human emotion. We do.

That’s the best question!

We work with you to establish what stage you’re at, what you need and what we can deliver for the budget you have.

When we know that we can suggest the most effective way forward, to ensure what’s being done has the desired effect and we’ll deploy the appropriate tactics.

At the start of each month we agree what we’ll be doing (which might be progression of what’s already underway) and at the end of each month we’ll report what’s been achieved. That way, you’ll always know what’s happening on your behalf.

That’s an “it depends” answer. The key point though is that PR is a marathon, not a sprint.

Unless you’re already very well known, your audience needs to keep seeing you so you lodge in their brain – and that needs to be in a consistently positive light.

Repeated exposure to your messages via varied channels and tactics is ALWAYS the most effective and leads to ongoing success.

A “one-hit wonder” such as a feature or news piece in a top publication can work extremely well in the short term, but that effect will fade.

We’d be mad not to! If you refer us to a contact and they become a regular client, after they’ve been with us for three months we’ll give you 50% off one month’s fees (as long as you’re still with us, obviously).

Can’t say fairer than that!

We like to think we’re an enthusiastic and valuable partner for businesses which are finding their feet as much as we are to established multinationals!

We’re a multi-skilled bunch and we have team members who can help out with many business fundamentals, from registering and managing domain names, getting a simple website up and running, pointing you toward grant funding, even holding your hand on basic business set up and helpful software.

We’re not designers, IT support or business gurus, but we’ve been around the block and for what we don’t know, we usually know someone who does.

We’d love nothing more! A conversation is so much better than a sales pitch, as far as we’re concerned.

We need to understand you so that we can give an honest opinion on whether what we do is what you need right now.

You get to understand us and where we’re coming from, what kind of people we are and whether we sound like we’re on the same page.

Honestly, pick up the phone. We love talking!
